Please Note: Meant for use on non-skid surfaces only. If being placed on smooth surfaces with little texture, it is best to be kept under shelter, so that the floor surface does not get too slippery for the mat to grip. These rugs are the best! I had tried several different rugs for my back doors that just didn't work. We have a pool and so I needed a rug that would remove dirt and water from feet before entering the house, but I didn't want it to remain soaked. This rug does the trick. Water flows right through it and I am very pleased with it. I also have cats and a dog whose hair was always sticking to other rugs, but not these.

Advantages: Does not remain sopping wet after a rain.

Disadvantages: none
