The Chalk Board Paint from Rust-Oleum has hundreds of great uses.  Almost any surface can be used to apply Chalk Board Paint, from walls, to picture frames, to flower pots, etc. You can either brush or roll it  on the surface. A second coat can be applied after 4 hours and two coats would strengthen wear resistance. One quart covers 95-120 square feet per coat. You can write on it and then erase.  When dry, it is child safe and non toxic.  Green finish.
It can be applied to wood, metal, masonry, drywall, plaster, glass, concrete, terra cotta, paperboard, and hardboard.
