Good Bye Cracks, a rubber spray on coating, is another product from the company who makes the famous Goof Off products.  It forms a nonflammable liquid that forms an elastic, preventative film.  It is a quick method for eliminating hair line cracks in drywall--an innovative problem solver for a hard to fix problem.  First, spackle cracks, then spray on Good Bye Cracks and then finish with either latex or oil-base paint. 

Drywall stress cracks are sometimes impossible to eliminate because the movement in the house framing with seasonal changes can put stress on the drywall which causes it to crack - often the crack runs from the corner of a window or door way opening. Beautifully and invisibly repaired cracks will often return with the next round of seasonal changes and shifting of the house. Permanent repair of these types of stress cracks calls for bracing the framing behind the wall if long term results are to be achieved.
