The IQAir GC Multigas has been designed to control a wide spectrum of molecular and particulate contaminate control.  The GC Multigas operates under the same principle as a professional gas mask.  It filters out a wide variety of gaseous chemicals and odors by filtering the air through an advanced filter cartridge design.  While gas and odor control is the strength of the IQAir GC Multigas unit, it is also very good at filtering out particulate matter.

How does the IQAir GC Multigas work?

Step 1: The fan pulls air in through the bottom of the air purifier and through a filter that eliminates micro and nano-particles, such as allergens, smoke, bacteria and viruses.

Step 2: The air runs through a cartridge-based activated carbon absorption system, which eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are responsible for creating odors in the air.

Step 3: The air then runs through cartridge-based chemisorption, which destroys harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde through an oxidation process inside a chemically active alumina pellet.

Step 4: Finally the air runs through a micro-charged filtration, which eliminates activated carbon and chemisorption abrasion particles through a charged fiber structure.
