The IQAir HealthPro features the same advanced micro-particle and nano-particle filtration technology that the IQAir HealthPro Plus model does, just without the gas and odor filter (V5-Cell).  However, the HealthPro model has space to upgrade/add this feature at any time.  The HealthPro is excellent at removing many particulate air pollutants, such as all common allergens.  This makes it an ideal unit for any health conscious or allergy sufferer.  If gas and odor control is eventually desired it can be added at anytime.

How does the IQAir HealthPro work?

Step 1: The fan pulls air in through the bottom of the air purifier and runs through a pre-filter that eliminates micro-particles, such as pollen, pet dander and mold spores.

Step 2: The HealthPro model does not come with a V5-Cell filter for gas and odor control, but has space to add this feature at anytime.

Step 3: Finally the air runs through a HyperHEPA filter, which is constructed from nano-fibers that are 10x thinner than many HEPA filters on the market.  This enables the HyperHEPA to eliminate bacteria, viruses, smoke and combustion particles from automobiles.

Why are ultra-fine particles so dangerous?
Numerous scientific studies have identified ultra-fine particles, defined as 0.1 microns or smaller, are the most damaging to human's health.  The reason they are so damaging is they can be absorbed right through lung tissue and into the blood stream.  Once these ultra-fine particles are in the blood stream they are able to penetrate a cell's mitochondria, the center and brain of a cell, where the ultra-fine particles can do damage to the cell.
