How Does Milky Spore Work?
Milky Spore is a natural bacteria that will lay dormant in your lawn until grubs appear. When the grubs begin feeding they will ingest the bacteria, which will multiply inside the grub eventually killing the grub. The grub will then decay releasing exponentially more spores into your soil.
Kills: Japanese Beetle Grubs
Coverage: 7,000 sq. ft.
Where To Use: Lawns, Flower beds, ground covers, vegetable gardens, and around trees & shrubs
When To Use: Apply Spring, Summer, Fall for 2 consecutive years. For best results, start in either Spring or Summer as this will give the bacteria in Milky Spore a chance to multiply in your soil sufficiently before grubs hatch and become a problem in your soil (Note: grubs do most of their damage in August-September, so starting application in the fall would not be ideal). If starting in the Spring apply: Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall. If starting in the Summer apply: Summer, Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring).
Directions for Application:
Apply any time the ground is not frozen.
Apply using a lawn spreader for even application. Make a pass around the boarder of your lawn first followed by parallel passes to fill in the center of your lawn.
