Plantskydd's granular animal repellent is designed to provide a perimeter barrier to your plant/flower beds from animals browsing around in your beds. The advantage of using a granular based product is one perimeter treatment around the entire plant bed can be sufficient for protecting all the plants inside the bed. However, if the area is considered a problem area for deer, rabbits, etc. then an additional application of the granular repellent around each problem plant inside the bed will provide a better level of protection.
The one caveat with Plantskydd's granular repellent is if the plants or flowers are more than a couple feet in height. At this point, the granular repellent will only be effective against small critters (chipmunks, squirrels, etc.). Basically, when the animal is perusing around your yard you need the granular animal repellent to be in close proximity to the animals nose to effectively repel the animal from your plants.

Application directions: 3lb bag features an easy to use shaker bag applicator. Simply walk around your plants with the bag in hand to apply a 1 foot band around your plant beds, trees and anywhere else you want animals to stay away from. Granules must be visibly noticeable around the plants to be effective. In areas where a large amount of plants are in one area, such as a plant bed, apply a 1 foot band of granules around the perimeter of the bed, plus apply an additional band around any plant in the bed deemed to be highly desirable by deer, rabbits, etc. If the heavily browsed by animals a second 1 foot wide band must be applied 2-3 feet beyond the first strip.

Safety Points: Safe to use to protect fruit, vegetables and other food crops. However, once plants bear fruit, do not apply granules to the edible parts of fruit, vegetables or any other food crop. Wash fruits and vegetables before eating. Wash hands after use. Avoid concrete and wood.
