Add a unique flair to your floral vases, centerpieces, accent bowls, or any other water filled medium with these submersible LED lights. Simply twist the light to simultaneously seal the lights battery compartment and illuminate the light. Drop anywhere from 1 light to a few into a vase with water and some type of decorative medium and add flowers for an eye catching look!
While the lights can be used simply in water, LED lights only shine in one direction, so the light illuminated by the vase will not be as impressive as it would be if glass marbles, a gel filler, or some other medium is used to refract the light inside the vase.
Submersible LED lights are one of the hot decorating ideas right now in the wedding and entertainment industry. Many event planners are using them to spruce up their table centerpieces.
The lights measure approximately 1" H x 1.25" W. They are approximately the size of a battery operated tea light, thus they are often referred to as submersible LED tea lights or battery operated submersible LED tea lights. To activate the light and seal the battery compartment, simply twist the base of the light clockwise. To turn it off, simply twist it counterclockwise. Battery life is approximately 24-36 hours.
NOTE: units are sold open stock. If you purchase in quantities of 10 they will come in a clear blister pack. Either way they will be packed well, but won't contain any pretty packaging. This allows us to keep the cost down for you!
Lighting Tips: When twisting the lights to turn them on, some of the lights may require more of a turn to light the LED light, so keep turning until you see the light turn on. Also, in order to make a good seal you will want to turn the light as far as you can to ensure a good seal before submersing them in water.
Who knew just a little bit of light could make such a difference to a vase! Here's a couple tips to improve the look of theses LED submersible lights in a vase.
-
Hand Tighten Lights All the Way: The lights will start to make a connection as you twist them, but make sure you fully tighten them down to ensure the lights will be waterproof.
-
Use Water Beads or another Translucent Filler Medium: The lights themselves will look far less impressive if they have nothing to reflect off of. LEDs only shine light in one direction, so having something to refract the light off of will greatly improve the look of your submersible LEDs.
